Finalist at Banff

I have just received word that my recent book, Columbia Highlands: Exploring Washington's Last Frontier has been nominated as a finalist in the 2007 Banff Mountain Book Festival. It was nominated in the Mountain Exposition Category. What an honor! And what an honor it has been to work with Jasmine Minbashian of Conservation Northwest, and my publisher Helen Cherullo and editor Christine Clifton-Thornton of the Mountaineers Books on this project. I hope that in the near future we can all be toasting a Kettle River Range and Selkirk Wilderness in addition to this wonderful book.
